Garage Project formed as a craft beer/classic rock crossover band, the name says it all. Chris Fraser, Brendan Monaghan and Warren Miller will be bringing the best of their set and will be joined by special guest Eve Devlin adding her skills for a few tunes.

Friday 16 at the Tuatara Cafe.

It was a rockin night last time. Don’t miss out

The Dense Concert

Date : 28th Nov 2020

The Dense Invercargill three-piece, The Dense, display youthful enthusiasm mixed with mature musicality on their latest release, “There’s no one new around you”.

Described in the media as “alternative rock” when they took out the Southland Heats at the SmokeFree RockQuest last year, a closer listen to this release reveals a musical diversity that belies that description. Certainly, there’s an overall rock feel to the tracks, but there’s also a great ‘70s punk sneer with a subtle Celtic lilt, overdriven Delta Blues riffs and rhythms merging effortlessly into surfing soul, and all tied in with a respectful nod to local legends like Pretty Wicked Head & The Desperate Men.

Mr Sterile Assembly Concert – Date : 17th Oct 2020

Date : 17th Oct 2020

mr sterile Assembly is a noisy bass and drum duo – part punk, part noise, math rock, free-form squall; they are not easy to box, and are quite happy about that.
Known as much for their word-smithing as for their fierce delivery – they have been described as “oppressive and delightful both at the same time.” Organ Magazine, UK.
The duo are also known for their tours, taking uncompromising music to venues dotted around the planet.
“A jolt of pure creative spirit married to social commentary, and damn good fun!” NZ Musician.
“Catch them if you can. There’s nothing else like it.” Nick Bollinger

TOOMS are also a noisy bass and drum duo who recently supported post-punk ranters Sleaford Mods at their only NZ show in February. Coming fresh of a Covid cancelled USA tour, and from making a selection of choice covers during lockdown, TOOMS are always a joyous treat!

The Beths – Jump Rope Gazers Tour – Date : 18th Oct 2020

Date : 18th Oct 2020

After selling out Auckland’s Powerstation in just six days, Auckland’s indie faves The Beths announce a nationwide tour in support of their new record Jump Rope Gazers, out next Friday 10 July on Carpark Records. The tour will see The Beths criss-cross New Zealand for 12 dates from 27 August, followed by a very special show on the iconic Auckland Town Hall stage on Friday 6 November.

Straight from the heart of Auckland’s music scene, The Beths have gathered an ever increasing fan base in New Zealand and around the world. Their debut album Future Me Hates Me, was nominated for the 2019 Taite Music Prize, saw the band win Best Alternative Act and Best Group at the 2019 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and garnered acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone and NME. With the imminent release of Jump Rope Gazers, The Beths have been connecting with their global fan base via their popular “Live from House” livestreams, but it’s the New Zealand fans that get the first chance to hear the new album live and The Beths can’t wait to get on the road to visit cities they’ve played before and some brand new towns.”

Daniel Champagne Concert

Date : 20th Dec 2020

“Daniel Champagne exudes a natural ease on stage, as he sings poignant lyrics and beautifully crafted melodies that invariably whisk the heart up with grand romanticism. Coupled with an exhilarating guitar talent that transcends mere acoustic playing to replicate a whole band, Champagne is just magical”

Sam Cullen Concert

Date : 31st Oct 2020

Having played upwards of 60 gigs across New Zealand in 2018, Sam Cullen is quickly establishing himself as one of the country’s hardest working young performers. As a multi-faceted artist, he has amassed experience in songwriting, jazz bands, solo performances and onstage professionalism coupled with an unassuming manner and determination second to none.

Artistically, his alternative pop sound focusses on emotional intensity combining powerful guitar based hooks with elements of dance music creating a sound fit for any emotionally charged party goer. Family road trips saw the influences of Fleetwood Mac, the Rolling Stones and James Taylor ingrained in Sam from a young age while Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys and The 1975 fill the void today. His highly energetic live act is what he enjoys most, making use of drum pads, synthesisers, guitars and vocals with the flair of Bowie and intimacy of Sheeran.
