Where will I park when I visit the café/bar?

Entrance to the Leven street carpark building is on Leven street (right beside the Tuatara building). Parking is free for 90 minutes when you park on the top level and in the blue marked parking spaces.

Parking is free on the street after 6pm

Do you do table service?

All meals and drinks are ordered at the counter.

All meals and drinks will be delivered to your table by our wait staff.

Do I need to make a booking?

Bookings are not essential, but are advised for groups of 6 or more, and for weekends for those intending on dining

Do you have an outdoor smokers area?

Yes, we have a covered and heated outdoor courtyard

Am I able to open a TAB for a group function or meal?

Yes that is fine, we will just hold onto your credit card as a security in our card holder and return to you at the end of the function.

Are children able to dine at your bar?

Yes, we are a family friendly restaurant

Do you have wheelchair access to all areas of your bar/restaurant?

Yes, with our big wide open spaces, the Tuatara is a great place to navigate a wheelchair.

Do you cater for Gluten free?

Yes, most of our meals can be made to accommodate Gluten free by swapping out the breads or wraps or pizza bases

Do you accommodate for Celiacs?

Not 100%, as we do not have separate work spaces to guarantee totally.

Do you cater for Vegans/Vegetarians?

Yes, Vegetarians are catered for very well, we have many options in the food cabinet, with a large selection of raw slices, a wonderful vegetarian pizza and several vegetarian options on our daily menu. Vegans also will be able to enjoy our raw slices as well as some salad options in our food cabinet, a vegan pizza is on offer and a vegan soup on our daily menu.

Is any of your food organic?

Yes, our coffee beans are organic from Allpress. All our eggs are free range.

Do you hire the café out for private functions?

Yes, there are a few options. We do not charge to hire a private space, but you must purchase all food and drinks through the restaurant.

Groups of 50-80 can have a private space down the back of the café.
The outdoor courtyard area can be booked for private events, with numbers of 30+
Groups of 200 or more can have the majority of the café for private use, depending on day and time of booking, we will sometimes keep a small section open to the public for takeaways etc.

Am I able to bring my own birthday cake to our function?

Yes, for groups of 20 or more it is free. For groups of under 20, there is a $50 cake charge.
