Southland is the food basket of New Zealand – whether farmed like dairy, sheep and beef, grain, fruits and vegetables or harvested from the wild, like our sea weeds, venison, pork, hare or cherished cold water fishery.
The products we don’t make ourselves are sourced from suppliers who share our food ethics.
And yes, we also have pies, sausage rolls and iconic cheese rolls* – made locally – from fresh local produce – which might just remind you of the delicious foods your grandmother used to make.
